Jon began his real estate career in 2002 at The Kash Group, his family’s 35-year old real estate investment company. A few years later, Jon founded Real Estate Brokerages, Living New York & Redwood Property Group, and a property management firm, Livingston Management Services. Jon spent approximately 10 years developing the foundation of these businesses, which currently employ over 70 individuals and control over 75 properties in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx. In 2013, combining his extensive experience and diverse real estate background, Jon shifted his focus on to seeking value-add investment opportunities in prime New York City locations. This was the beginning of SHEL Capital.

Rony was previously head of acquisitions and principal at Brack Capital USA responsible for acquisitions, finance and development. Over his 9 years with the firm, he oversaw the equity and debt transactions for all asset types aggregating a value in excess of $1.5 billion. Rony was a part of the development team for legacy assets such as the James Hotel, The Olcott, The Greystone, Hotel Indigo LES, 90 Morton Street, and 15 Union Square West. Rony holds a B.A. from the University of Michigan with a focus on economics and a M.S. from NYU with a focus on Real Estate Finance.

Austen Rabbie is a Director at SHEL Capital where his responsibilities include acquisition sourcing, as well as asset and project management. In addition, Austen is a partner in the firm’s property management division, Livingston Management. Austen joined Jon Bakhash in the summer of 2009. He was recruited to the team because of his passion for learning and understanding the nuances and complexities of the New York real estate market. He has been integral to the acquisition and development of The William Hotel in addition to the firm’s expansion into Brooklyn. Austen received a B.A. in Economics, with honors, from Boston University.

Jake is an analyst/property manager for SHEL Capital, where his responsibilities include property management, investment management, acquisition sourcing, and financial analysis. Starting his career in 2018 as an analyst with Imperium Capital, Jake focused on sourcing new opportunities for the company on both the debt and equity side. He also worked on the financial analysis of multi-family and Industrial real estate investment opportunities throughout the country. Bringing a wide range of skills and understanding of the real estate market, Jake helps SHEL efficiently manage its properties and expand on its growing portfolio. Jake received a B.A, with honors, from Columbia University.
